Lynn Reedy

Lynn ReedyLynn Reedy has over 14 years of experience in education. After working as a math teacher for several years, Lynn pursued a Master's Degree in Technology Education from Lesley University. During the past six years, she has been working as an Educational Technology Specialist, assisting various schools in both Connecticut and Mississippi with Technology integration in all subject areas. While in Mississippi, Lynn received over $65,000 worth of technology equipment through various grants she wrote. She presented at the Mississippi State Technology Conference(MECA). In 2006, Lynn became the Mississippi Technology Educator of the Year from the Mississippi Technology Educators Association. This award recognized Lynn's work in Desoto County Schools for promoting and advancing technology in education, showing innovative vision and management of technology.

In 2007 Lynn moved to Connecticut, where she currently works as an Educational Technology Specialist for Stafford Public Schools and a technology consultant for the EASTCONN Regional Educational Service Center. Lynn has trained several districts around the state of Connecticut on integrating technology into the curriculum with whiteboard technology, Discover Streaming, and Web 2.0. Additionally, she developed a nationally known tech integration website, Reedy Technologies, to provide continued technology support in each curricular area. Lynn is currently a STAR Discovery Educator and will be working with Discovery to create a Leadership Council for the state of Conneticut.

Lynn was introduced to Mimio technology two years ago when she was hired by Stafford Public Schools to train teachers in the district on how to use their newly acquired Mimio equipment. Stafford now has a Mimio in every classroom in grades 1-12. Within the past two years, Lynn has provided teachers with in-class Mimio support , assistance in creating lessons using the Mimio, and weekly Mimio quick learn meetings. Recently, Lynn developed a Mimio lesson contest for the teachers she works with to build a collection of lessons to support classroom instruction. As teachers create lessons, their name is entered into a drawing to win a Mimio Pad. By the end of the school year, two lucky teachers will receive a Mimio Pad.
